Find a Teacher
I always tell people that the most important place to start is to find a teacher.
I'm not personally trying to be your teacher.
I believe that you need to become a student and choose your teachers on your own.
I see myself as someone who can introduce you to teachers and sit in that classroom with you.
My #1 Crypto Teacher
The Bankless Podcast
Bankless is a podcast I've been listening to this year.
More accurately Bankless is a DAO, led by two guys, Ryan Sean Adams and David Hoffman.
It wasn't until yesterday that I realized how incredible their brand is.
The thing that changed is that I signed up for their premium subscription.
I highly suggest you do the same and skip the amount of time I wasted.
If you really need a study diet, these guys have built a full course at a fraction of the price you're used to for education like this.
Not to mention, you'll make that money back and more so quickly.
I missed out.
I've been diving into Bankless' episodes for 11 months now and thought I was doing a great job going back to their first episodes, learning what I needed, in order to catch up to the present moment.
I thought I was doing a good job...
Once I saw the inside of this subscription I realized I had been working harder than I needed to.
“Work smarter, not harder.”
Yesterday I missed out on an opportunity to get an "airdrop," which would yield some generous amounts of tokens from an Ethereum website.
I won’t get too in-depth to that now, but if you want to learn more about how crypto is going to change privacy rights on your web browser, connectivity such as those "sign in with Google/Facebook/apple" buttons, dive in more to ENS (Ethereum Name Service).
I missed out because I waited too long to get that insight sooner.
Luckily, the real date I need to act by for this is May 2022.
These projects and insights have timelines.
Just like a business and meeting quotas, these initiatives are being run by groups of developers, community managers, and other team members.
The early members are rewarded with some rights, such as voting or benefits such as the market rewards.
My hope here is that you all don't miss out on this opportunity in crypto.
My hope is that you don't get overwhelmed by the vast amount of information, misinformation, and fake news and find the right teachers.
My hope is that we can have conversations on what you've learned, acted on and have gained financially, spiritually, etc.
Some other housekeeping...
Start listening to podcasts. Plain and simple, you are the average of the people you hang out with. And today, you can hang out with (or listen to the beliefs and thoughts of) people through podcasts and the accompanying platforms ie. Twitter, Discord, Youtube, newsletters, etc.
Use the Castro app to organize your podcast episodes and not get overwhelmed with the new episodes coming out each day when you need to start from an earlier episode.
Be open to spending some $. To keep this short, these are investments into your future, society's future, your kid’s future… So far I haven’t been upset about fees, only investments into the wrong projects.
Other teachers, I listen to:
Raoul Paul — Macro Investor (Real Vision)
Michael Saylor — for Bitcoin large-scale/financial adoption.
Robert Breedlove — The Important Philosophy of Bitcoin Blockchain
Cheers Y’all,
Jack
